Jennifer L. Silvershein, LCSW

Jennifer Silvershein specializes in supporting individuals who experience self-doubt, difficulty in relationships, anxiety, eating disorders and low self-esteem. Jennifer helps her clients to recognize and make the changes necessary to create a life they love. Through several years of clinical experience, Jennifer has found that therapy is most effective when grounded in understanding, collaboration, and motivation. She prioritizes creating a supportive environment in which individuals feel both safe and inspired to make powerful strides towards a more fulfilled self.

Since opening Manhattan Wellness Associates, she has worked extensively with individuals as well as couples looking to make a positive impact on their lives and their relationships with others. Over the years, she has been featured in various news publications including Well & Good, Elite Daily, Psych Central, Advice From A 20 Something and Romper.

Jennifer received her Masters in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University and continued her training at New York University as well as the Albert Ellis Institute.

Michele Burstein, LMSW

Michele specializes in working with individuals who experience relationship issues, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and life transitions. Michele is able to quickly empathize with her clients and help them identify how they can develop coping mechanisms, enact positive change, and enhance their inner strengths. Michele's calm demeanor and warm approach allows her to quickly establish meaningful relationships with her clients, and they trust her to help them find the strength and ability to overcome their challenges.

Michele offers an unbiased, collaborative, and motivational approach and makes every effort to create a safe environment where her clients feel comfortable. Her therapeutic style is direct and individualized, and she prioritizes fully understanding each of her clients unique challenges and goals. She is able to do this through various treatment modalities including solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing, and coaching.

Michele received her Masters in Clinical Social Work from Rutgers University. Michele has been featured in PsychCentral in addition to other publications.
