all about alyssa

Alyssa believes there is no rule book to navigating life and the emotions that arise during the journey. This is why she works to support each client in uncovering their innate abilities as well as thoughtful strategies to live their best life.

Therapy can be a transformative experience with endless opportunities for growth and self-discovery. The process of healing is not linear and will look different for everyone. No matter where you are on this journey Alyssa will meet you there and help to guide you through.

With genuine empathy, a dose of humor and some tough love along the way, Alyssa helps her clients create meaningful change by addressing the struggles that may be limiting them from reaching their potential. She also believes strongly in the mind-body connection and loves to integrate mindfulness into her practice to help clients feel grounded and find clarity.

With her multifaceted clinical background, Alyssa has gained diverse experience working with clients experiencing life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, trauma, and low self-esteem. Additionally, having started her career in the fashion industry, she is attuned to and able to empathize with the challenges and stressors experienced by young professionals and creatives.

Alyssa’s warm and engaging personality creates a supportive and non-judgmental space where her clients can be themselves and explore their feelings from a place of openness and curiosity.

how she works

Alyssa focuses on getting to know each client for who they are, where they come from, and what their goals are.

With her compassionate and empathetic nature, Alyssa prioritizes building a trusting and meaningful connection with clients and works to navigate vulnerable and difficult topics at a pace that feels safe for them.

She helps clients uncover insight into why they might be stuck in certain patterns or cycles and uses this to help them reconnect to their authentic selves and move towards a life they love. Clients have said that their sessions with Alyssa have helped them to see aspects of their life that they had “never recognized” before and have left them feeling empowered.

Using an integrative and trauma-informed approach, Alyssa draws from a variety of modalities including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness, while also personalizing sessions for each client's unique needs and goals.

Through these modalities, Alyssa assists clients in breaking patterns that are no longer serving them, setting boundaries, reframing negative self-talk, and improving their mind-body connection to gain an awareness of their needs and triggers.

Whether you are struggling with self esteem, having trouble in relationships, going through a challenging life transition or just wanting to engage in self-exploration and integrate mental wellness into your overall health, Alyssa is here to support you.

I love being by the beach in every and any season. The ocean always helps me relax, reset, and clear my mind.

Where is your happy place?

Definitely teleportation, I love to travel and see new places

If you could have any superpower what would it be?

Starting my mornings with movement always helps me get into a positive mindset to take on the day. I love doing either a yoga/pilates class (big fan of Melissa Wood Health workouts) or a walk on Westside Highway with a podcast and a cup of coffee.

Morning routine

Slowing down and paying attention to what I'm feeling in my body helps me decide what I need the most in that moment to de-stress. When I feel like I need to get some anxious energy out I love to do yoga or go for a run. When I feel tired and low-energy I like to light a candle, put on a face mask, and journal or do something creative.

What do you do to de-stress?

Organizing my to-do list, setting goals for the upcoming week, and acknowledging happy moments from the past week and things I'm looking forward to in the upcoming week.

How do you set yourself up for a successful week?
